Summary of the Overall Operation Logic of Workover Equipment
The entire workover equipment system takes the truck-mounted chassis as the carrier, the diesel engine as the power source, the drawworks as the main work-performing body, the derrick as the overhead load-bearing skeleton, the triplex plunger pump as the core of the circulation process, the well control system as the safety bottom line, hydraulic and pneumatic control as the operating center, and downhole tools as the process execution terminals — enabling the full range of oil and water well operations from simple routine workover to complex major workover.
Routine Workover (Minor Repair) Operations: pump inspection and replacement, rod replacement, paraffin removal, simple sand washing, and daily maintenance.
Major Workover Operations: fishing of lost objects, casing repair, milling and stuck-pipe release, water shut-off and profile control, zonal isolation, unsealing, and treatment of complex downhole failures.
All components of the workover equipment operate for long periods under harsh conditions of heavy load, vibration, erosion, corrosion, frequent start-stop, and alternating loads. Therefore, extremely high requirements are placed on material strength, sealing performance, wear resistance, fatigue resistance, and safety self-locking performance, making workover equipment an indispensable heavy-duty special equipment for oilfield production assurance.
